In theory, at least
Yesterday I reported that the talks with Troika representatives which were due to start in Athens had been delayed by organisational issues including the location and security fears.
Troika bailout officials were forced to leave Greece when Syriza were elected 6 months ago
But now a Greek official said this morning that the problems have been resolved and the talks "should go ahead" on Monday
Speaking to Reuters the unnamed official denied that the govt was trying to keep the lenders' team away from government departments
" We don't have any problem with them visiting the General Accounting Office"
Yet another delay then as a 20 August "deadline" looms for the Greek parliament to vote on the expected €86bln package
Meanwhile one of Tsipras' closest aides State Minister Nikos Pappas has given an interview published today warning that the understanding with the opposition parties could not last long and a "clear" solution was needed.
"The country can not go on with a minority government for long. We need clear, strong solutions"
That raises the stakes for an election in Sept/Oct
I'm off out again to enjoy the UK sun before the rainstorms return tomorrow. Have a great week-end everyone.
Tsipras -counting down to an early election?
