Options expiry comes one hour earlier for London

The ECB started QE today but the sizes have said to be an extremely modest 25-50 million euros. The central bank is dipping its toes in today before jumping in later this month.

Still, it's a sign of what's to come and euro bounces will remain thin.

The calendar is light today in US trading, save for speeches from Kocherlakota, Weidmann and Mester. Keep an eye on is the clock after the start of Daylight Savings. New York (and most of North America) is now one hour closer to London and that means the option expiries are one hour earlier for London and that the London Fix is one hour later for the US.

Ah the joys of being a forex trader.
