The Hang Seng ended the day the worst performer out of the 3 major Asian indices on Tuesday with shares in Hong Kong banks falling sharply following the HSBC shocker yesterday. All up the Hang Sengended the day down 2.08% or -255.73 pts at 12,061.73 whereas the Nikkei only ended the day down 0.7% at 7,229.72 and the ASX200 closed the day out at 3,219.2, -0.95%, although at its lowest it traded down to 3,153.50.
The major European equity indices have all started the morning off is positive territory, up almost 0.5%.
