You just can't have love and money

Bridgewater Associates is a strange place.

It's a firm that relies on principles of 'radical transparency' outlined by founder Ray Dalio. Evidently, one of the rules is that you need to inform the company right away if there's any romance among the 1700 employees.

Head of foreign exchange research Bob Elliott evidently didn't disclose the relationship quickly enough and despite 13 years at the firm, was fired. So too was his romantic partner, according to Hedge Fund Alert.

Elliott's LinkedIn profile says he's looking for new challenges.
