The Drag-ster will be speaking in Frankfurt
Draghi will be delivering the keynote speech at the Frankfurt European Banking Congress and is scheduled to appear at 0830 GMT. The programme doesn't detail what he will be speaking about but the congress itself carries the theme of "Back to Normal - What Does It Mean?" which covers topics such as:
- Moving Towards Tomorrow's Business Models: Fine-Tuning or Disruption?
- Technology in Finance: Ever Broader, Ever Deeper?
- Macroeconomic Implications of a Return to a "Normal" Monetary Policy
Given that, expect Draghi to touch a little bit on monetary policy at the very least. However, I would not expect him to deviate from the ECB's recent comments on that as they look towards ending QE next month.
