Draghi and Carney among those on the agenda

In case you missed the earlier primer here, this post will be another reminder to that. Italian budget worries will dominate the trading headlines today but there will be other things to look out for just in case too:

1145 GMT - BOE chief economist Andy Haldane speaks in London

Haldane will be speaking together with Bronwen Maddox, director at the Institute for Government. They will be discussing on productivity, innovation and industrial strategy in the UK. There will also be a Q&A session to follow.

1330 GMT - ECB president Mario Draghi speaks in Frankfurt

Draghi will be delivering the welcome address at the 3rd annual ESRB conference. He is scheduled to speak for 30 mins and given the context of the speech, he is not expected to touch much on monetary policy - if at all.

1400 GMT - BOE governor Mark Carney chairs a panel in Frankfurt

Carney will be at the same event as Draghi and will be chairing a panel discussion on "Sustainable Finance". The discussion will involve insights on climate-related financial risks and how they can be addressed. Again, given the topic of discussion, there should not be much monetary policy related comments here. Of note, ECB member Villeroy will be among the panel members as well.

1530 GMT - ECB member Philip Lane speaks in Frankfurt

Lane is to deliver the keynote speech at the event. Again, as the event is more towards risk it shouldn't encompass monetary policy all too much.

1700 GMT - ECB economist Peter Praet speaks in London

Praet will be delivering the keynote speech at the Money, Macro and Finance Research Group conference at King's College. I can't find any other details on what Praet's speech will be about but it's something worth noting just in case.
