The passing of the baton for the presidency of the New York Fed
There will be a couple of Fed speakers to come later today, so let's see what they will be speaking on and whether or not we may expect any monetary policy comments to come.
1245 GMT - NY Fed president William Dudley speaks at a conference
Dudley will be delivering the opening remarks at a conference on reforming the banking culture and behaviour in an event hosted by the New York Fed. Not likely to contain any monetary policy comments.
1300 GMT - NY Fed president William Dudley speaks on a panel discussion
Dudley will then be taking part in a panel discussion on 'Finance, Culture and Society'. Again, I don't expect Dudley to touch too much on monetary policy given the topic in hand.
1700 GMT - Atlanta Fed president Raphael Bostic speaks in Georgia
Bostic will be speaking to the Rotary Club of Savannah on economic and monetary policy outlook. There will also be a Q&A session with the audience and the media thereafter.
2000 GMT - Incoming NY Fed president John Williams speaks at a conference
This will be Williams' first day in office and he will be delivering the closing remarks at the same conference as Dudley, as he takes over as president for the New York Fed.
