A massive 7.8 magnitude earthquake rocked the region near the Iran-Pakistan border — the biggest to hit the area in 40 years.
Iran has yet to report fatalities but hundreds are feared dead. Fortunately, the area of the epicenter is sparsely populated mountains and desert. A magnitude 7.8 quake killed 68,000 people in China in 2008.
