The ministry responsible for negotiation on Brexit in the UK says that while progress has been made in key areas, there remain a number of "unresolved issues relating to the backstop"

There had been hopes of substantially more progress ahead of a regular EU meeting (which UK PM May will attend) this coming Wednesday.
