It will be the highest close in a very long time and maybe the US media will tell the masses. The other broader indexes have not returned to their recent highs. The US could use the wealth effect buying by those who own stocks to further this economic recovery. Seems to be the plan.
Maybe we will just have to sell stocks to buy gas. Crude oil futures close up $3.17 at $111.45.
