In the absense of anything meaningful

The calendar is almost vacant today and you get the feeling that the heatwave in the United States has sapped the life out of the market.

Headlines out of Europe are the main risk but barring any major surprises look for risk trades to drift higher. Stocks and commodity currencies tend to do better in quiet markets.

AUD and NZD are the early laggards but are slowly chipping away at the losses.
