Italy's statistics bureau revises its growth projections for the country

  • Sees 2019 GDP growth forecast at 1.3%
  • Government's budget will support domestic demand in 2019
  • Net exports will make no contribution to growth

No surprises to see the cut there following the dismal Q3 report seen at the end of last month. Their previous forecast of 1.4% was made back in May, so it's been a long time coming. Anyway, their growth projections for next year is still a bit more upbeat relative to other forecasts.

The European Commission has Italian growth next year pinned at 1.2% while the IMF is only forecasting a 1.0% growth for Italy in 2019.
