Italian deputy finance minister Laura Castelli spoke to La Stampa
- Minimum amount for the citizens' income will be €780
Do note that Castelli is also part of the Five-Star party so she may be pushing a different agenda here. But the €780 matches the original proposal set out by the party in its election promises, which means it will come out to something around €15 billion in terms of budget calculations.
Another reminder that economy/finance minister Tria is pushing for something around 1.5% to 1.8% deficit to GDP on the budget and that's roughly just under €30 billion, so this will eat almost half of it already.
