And Italian assets and the euro are paring gains on the day on the back of this headline. EUR/USD is off the highs now and is back to 1.1340 currently.
The positive twist if you want to look at it is that they aren't actually denying it but they are just refusing to confirm that the proposal is that of 2.0%. Either way, it's more or less a retraction to the earlier headline basically.
