Italy president Mattarella gives mandate to Cottarelli to form a government

According to Ugo Zampetti, secretary-general at the presidency

Mattrella has given ex-IMF official Carlo Cottarelli a mandate to form a technocrat government. Regardless, fresh elections looks almost inevitable at this point so while this may provide some temporary relief to Italian assets, it doesn't remove the underlying negativity.
