Markit / Nikkei PMIs from Japan

Japan is back from the 3-day holiday today, which is good. I've been missing ingnoring their data.

  • Services sector activity contracted in April at the fastest pace in two years
  • in a sign that the economy may be losing some momentum, a survey showed on Friday.
  • The index for new business fell to 48.6 (from 49.4 in March) ... also the fastest contraction in two years
