JAPAN DATA: Japan’s core private-sector machinery orders fell 10.3%
in September from the previous month, posting the first decline in four
months, and compared with the median forecast in a MNI survey for a
decline of 10.0%, the Cabinet Office said. Core machinery orders rose
9.6% in the July-September quarter against the government’s initial
forecast for a 0.8% increase, with the orders seen declining 9.8% in the
fourth quarter, it said.
