Slight delay in the release by the source. The statistic basically measures the total value of services purchased by Japanese businesses over the month.

A little softer than expected and sees a minor drop after the rise in April. That continues to send a mixed message and highlights some softness remaining in certain parts of the Japanese economy in Q2. The overall data from Japan so far has been far from convincing of robust economic growth - after Q1 was largely dragged higher on the back of imports shrinking much more rapidly than exports.
