Japan's economy minister, Toshimitsu Motegi, comments
A bit of an update on US-Japan trade talks. This of course comes after comments yesterday that Lighthizer lamented about concerns on the US' "very large trade deficit" with Japan. The developments here will certainly be rather interesting as the US will want Japan to commit to not weaken the yen in any event. However, Japan is still very much in the midst of a battle in trying to get inflation towards 2% so something's gotta give.
