Pres Trump said it was Acosta's decision

Pres. Trump's Labor Secretary Alex Acosta will resign amid the controversy over the way he handled a sex crimes case against Jeffrey Epstein a decade ago. Acosta was the U.S. attorney for southern Florida and many thought he gave Epstein a minor slap on the wrist. Epstein was arrested on July 6 on sex trafficking charges.

Pres Trump said today he never "went to Epstein's Island" and Kelly Anne Conway said a few days ago, that Trump and Epstein had not been in contact in "over a decade". She added that the president finds the recent charges of sex trafficking against the billionaire financier "completely unconscionable."

In other comments this morning Pres. Trump said:

  • He will go ahead with deportations this weekend in 10 cities this weekend.
