PM Rutte's party takes 4 seats

The Dutch Labour Party has taken 5 seats in Dutch Europe vote according to the first exit poll.

Meanwhile, the party of Dutch PM Rutte's conservative party finishes 2nd with 4 seats.  Rutte's party is for a united EU, while the Labour is more nationalistic.

The results were a surprise.

The PM did easily outdistance the challenge from the upstart nationalistic Forum for Democracy party of populist candidate Thierry Baudet.
