For the last few days the press has been speculating that auto sales may be beginning to turn the corner. The dtaa released so far doesn’t bear that out. Only Ford beat expectations with only at 14.4% sales drop. Among government-owned automakers, Chrysler’s saw sales fall 42% while GM was down 36.3% versus a year ago. Even Toyota saw sales slide 34.6%. When did the US government buy them?
