Core inflation from the Dallas Fed
That's three months in a row above the Fed target (March was 2.0%). How about a 50 basis point cut?
This is an unusual way to report on inflation but the Fed increasingly likes it. It's a month-over-month figure that's annualized to offer an easy-to-read look at inflation. The year-over-year reading is 2.0%. It's a strong contrast to PCE core and headline inflation at 1.5%.
