Two of the largest unions on Greece are marking the May day holiday with a 24 hour general strike against austerity.
The strike will be disrupting public services like hospitals and transport.
Rallies are expected in Athens with further demonstrations planned across the country.
Strikes and protests have died down this year but the problems still run deep in Greece.
