Merkel says Europe must plot its own way
"We Europeans must really take our destiny into our own hands," Merkel said on Sunday as she transitions into campaign mode ahead of September elections.
"The times when we could fully rely on others are to some extent over -- I experienced that in the last few days," she said.
It's increasingly looking like the years ahead will be marked by increasing tensions between Merkel's Europe and Trump's America.
