BERLIN (MNI) – German Chancellor Angela Merkel and French President
Francois Hollande on Friday reaffirmed their commitment to prevent a
break-up of the Eurozone.

“Germany and France are deeply committed to the integrity of the
Eurozone,” Merkel and Hollande said in a joint statement. Both countries
“are committed to do everything to safeguard the Eurozone.”

The two leaders said that all member states as well as all European
institutions must meet their responsibilities. They stressed that the
recent EU summit decisions must be “swiftly implemented.”
