Flynn's lawyers tell Trump they can't talk
Mike Flynn might be cutting a deal.
The President's former national security advisor has withdrawn from a joint defense agreement with Trump's team, according to a report from the New York Times.
One of the reasons they may have made the move is because Flynn could be cooperating with the special counsel investigation. Similarly, it could mean he has entered into a plea discussions.
Jay Sekulow, a member of Mr. Trump's personal legal team, said, "It was not unexpected to us that Gen. Flynn's lawyers might be entering into discussions with the special counsel and potential pleas."
He added "No one should draw the conclusion from that that this means anything about Gen. Flynn cooperating against the president."
