The ECB bond data must come out at 14:30 GMT, sorry….
Further on central bank sterilization: When a central bank buys a bond and does not offset the purchase with an offsetting transaction in the money markets, that is referred to as an “unsterilized” purchase. That is what the Fed is doing: Leaving excess reserves in the system to (hopefully) drive interest rates lower.
The ECB has been buying bonds in the markets but then draining the equivalent amount of currency from the system via repurchase agreements. The next impact on the money supply is zero.
