Nasdaq leads the way today with a gain over 1%

S&P up a solid 0.46%

The US major indices are closing higher with the tech heavy Nasdaq leading the way higher.

Looking at the major indices:

• The Nasdaq closed up 66 points or 1.05% to 6368
• The S&P is closing up 11.26 points or 0.46%
• The Dow is closing up 26.71 points or +0.12%.

The bullish news for the S&P the index is closing back above the 50 day MA at 2451.08. Last week, the price moved lower to test the 100 day MA. That MA line stalled the fall. The move above the 50 day MA and move away should solcit more buying (as long as it remains above in the new trading day).

For the Nasdaq index, it closed above the 50 day MA yesterday and continued the run higher today. The recent lows could not breach the 100 day MA last week.
