Things are hotting up on the Korean Peninsula. North Korea said earlier today that if the international community punishes it for next months planned missile launch it will restart a nuclear plant that makes weapons grade plutonium.
The US has said the missile lauch would violate U.N. sanctions imposed on Pyongyang for past weapons tests. Hilary Clinton has warned that any missile lauch will be taken as a “provocative” act and will have “consequences.”
Any deterioration in the North Korean situation is always taken as a negative for the JPY as they are close neighbours who hate each other.
