Japanese stocks end the session mostly higher in a slightly positive day for Asian equities in general
US-China trade talks are set to begin in Washington today and the mood is that there is a hint of mild optimism in the air. Equities are seeing slight gains across the board so far with US equity futures also reflecting similar sentiment. E-minis are up by 0.2% at the moment.
That said, the mood is very much that of cautious optimism so just be wary that this isn't really translating into any major risk-on moves across asset classes for the time being.
