Paul Ryan said Congress needs a deal by Thursday
Bloomberg reports that the three top NAFTA negotiators will not meet in person this week, citing three government officials.
They say lower-level talks could yield a breakthrough but that no ministerial meeting has been scheduled so far.
Paul Ryan has said Congress needs notice of intent to sign a deal by May 17 in order to pass it under this Congress. USD/CAD ticked higher on these headlines but I get the sense that few people believe Congress won't be able to get it done.
