A number of firms have come out today to reaffirm non-farm payrolls forecasts after today’s jobless claims data but their comments are growing more positive. The consensus for next Friday’s report rests at +148K after a +120K reading in January. The range of estimates is +80 to +198K.
December is an especially difficult to time for season adjustments so I expect the details to me much more important than the headlines.
