Yonhap report

Evidently the US and South Korea are doing some military drills and North Korea doesn't approve. There were talks scheduled between North and South Korea for this Wednesday that have already been called off.

"The North's Korean Central News Agency said the Max Thunder drills between the South Korean and U.S. air forces are a rehearsal for invasion of the North and a provocation amid warming inter-Korean ties," the report says.

Does anyone else find the North Korean U-turn on nuclear weapons a bit too good to be true? It's either some kind of ploy or they inadvertently screwed up their weapons program and they have no choice. Or China got involved and said they were cutting them off. There's some factor that doesn't really add up here.

More importantly, some markets have turned around on this headline.
