Recent data indicates manufacturing fell 2.4% m/m in December and 1.3% y/y.
Not a good sign of the economic fortunes in that part of the world with economists at Handelsbanken describing its demise as “falling off a cliff!”. Economists are not usually that an excitable of a bunch so to incite wording as colourful as that things must be bad!
