Heading into the final hour of US trading, the S&P 500 is down 1.03%.
Aside from cable and gold, FX majors have remained held within the extremes established around the European close.
If the S&P 500 falls below the session low of 1250, we could see risk aversion spread. The index has also turned negative for the year today and that might spark some headline sellers.
