When asked about China’s move to explore a global reserve currency, Obama said the US dollar is extraordinarily strong right now and is strong because the US has the strongest economy and political system in the world. He said he sees no need for a global currency.
His G20 agenda consists of asking countries to:
- Do what’s necessary to create jobs
- Avoid protectionism
- Modernize regulation
