The ONS are out with their latest tourist numbers for July

  • Overseas resident visits to the UK rose 2.0% in July to 3.8m visits

  • Spending by foreigners rose 2.0% y/y

  • UK residents made 7m visits abroad, +3.0% y/y

  • UK spending abroad fell 1.0% y/y

You could say that the pound played a part in spending. You could also say that both sides made extra visits in and out of the country to close up investments and relocate assets after the vote ;-)
