The Wall Street Journal is reporting that Paul Winfree, former domestic policy aide in the Trump White House is under consideration for the Fed nominee.
Winfree now oversees economic policy studies at the conservative Heritage Foundation
White House officials cautioned that consideration of Mr. Winfree was still in the early stages.
This week Stephen Moore withdrew his name from consideration after receiving resistance from some Republican senators.
