What's the path of rates
US economists are still hanging onto the idea that rates will rise this year. A Reuters poll shows the majority looking for a hike in Q3. That's later than the Q2 forecast previous but still more hawkish than the market is pricing. The vast majority see hikes ending afterwards.
Looking further out, about one-quarter of economists polled envision an rate cut before the end of 2020.
