From late in the Asian day Thursday: Another Reflationist Joining Japan PM’s Abe Government (WSJ – may be gated – a news search on the headline may turn up something).
Tatsushi Shikano, a senior economist at Mitsubishi UFJ Morgan Stanley Securities, will take up the post of deputy director-general of economic assessment and policy analysis at the Cabinet Office when the new fiscal year starts in April
- Shikano is described as a “hard-line pro-reflation economist”
- This is another appointment of an Abenomics supporter, Masayoshi Amamiya (from last week)
