RBS has reported a GBP24 Billion loss for the year to 31 Dec 2008. It stopped short of making any forecasts but said it expected 2009 to be a very tough year for the global economy.
This is the biggest corporate loss in history.
The bank is currently in discussions with the UK Govt concerning participation in the proposed Asset Protection Scheme.
