- Rehn to pass judgment on Spain deficit moves, EU official says
Bloomberg reports that he “will announce today whether Spain has done enough to bring its budget deficit under control.” In July, Spain was given three months to cut its deficit and now Rehn will ‘render his verdict’.
This announcement is getting so hyped that it needs a movie trailer.
EU is reasonably happy with Spain’s progress so I don’t see much of a chance the verdict will be negative.
