Haven’t heard a rumor like this in years: The BOE is rumored checking gold prices.
As UK readers like to point out, Gordon Brown sold most of the UK’s gold reserves on a $200 handle, so not sure what the BOE is prepared to do about the gold surge. Buy some maybe? haha.
