S&P 500 up 20 points

The US stock market is riding a relief rally close to all-time highs. The index is up 20 points to 2480, which would be an all-time closing high. The intraday record of 2491 was set August 8.

That chart is starting to look like it could pop.

The driver today -- aside from the storm -- is Apple. Shares of the company are up 1.8% ahead of tomorrow's iPhone launch event. Note that the pattern for AAPL product launches is a run-up in prices before the announcement and a sell-the-fact afterwards.
