S&P closes at the highest level for the year

Highest close since November 2015

The S&p is closing the day at the highest level for the year and the highest level since November 2015 (2109.79. The close today is 2109.36).  The index was up 10.24 points or 0.49%. 

The Nasdaq index fell short or making new year highs but is ending up 26.20 points or +0.53% on the day.

The Dow is up 0.63% on the day.  

Crude oil is trading at $49.73 or +2.28% on the day.
Gold is up $1.20 or 0.1% on the day.
The CRB index is up 1.38% but off the highs.

In the US Debt market:
  • 2 year note 0.7913% or +2 BP
  • 5 year note 1.2468%, +2 BP
  • 10 year note 1.7298%, +3 BP
  • 30 year bond 2.5494%, +4 BP
