BERLIN (MNI) – German Finance Minister Wolfgang Schaeuble will
return to work next Monday, a finance ministry spokesman said Tuesday.
The 67-year-old Schaeuble was taken to a hospital in Brussels on
Sunday after experiencing problems with new medication.
Finance ministry spokesman Michael Offer explained that Chancellor
Angela Merkel had proposed to Schaeuble that he rest some more days.
Merkel still has “full confidence” in Schaeuble, he added. “A
resignation [of Schaeuble] is not a topic at all,” the spokesman
stressed.
