Retail sales also declined by 0.2% on the month in real terms as the Swiss economy continues to display sluggish tones to end the 2018 year. Not a major release by any means but certainly feeds into the rhetoric that the optimism in the Swiss economy has quickly faded away, much like that in the Eurozone to begin last year.
