I despite Floyd Mayweather and would love nothing more than to see him beaten up in the boxing ring on Saturday. I'm not alone. Even the most casual fan, with the most cursory knowledge of Mayweather dislikes him. His defensive style is irritating and his personality is grating, nevermind his criminal history.
But he's gonna win. Maybe 5 years ago it would have been closer but Paquiao has slowed down.
Everyone is betting with their heart on this one and the odds have gotten very attractive.
William Hill said 80% of the bets and 65% of the money is on Pacquiao. That has brought Mayweather from a -280 favorite -- meaning a $280 bet would return a $100 profit, or 5-14 odds -- to -175 currently.
There's a chance Mayweather throws the fight so they can get another payday on a rematch but aside from that, my money is going on Mayweather (like $30, sports betting is for degenerates). I'll be cheering for Manny but the Mayweather will be paying for my lunch on Monday.
