UK courts may reference ECJ law but our intention is not to fossilise the past judgements of the ECJ
UK courts will have the power to overturn ECJ case law where it is right to do so
He's setting some details out on Brexit law in a white paper. The Great Repeal Bill seeks to bring EU laws into UK law.
Specifically the bill will:
- repeal the European Communities Act 1972, which provides legal authority for EU law to have effect as national law in the UK
- transfer all EU laws currently in force onto the UK statute book

What's important in all this is that access to parts of the single market, (finance for example) is possible if a country's laws, rules and regs match or better that of the EU. In essence, the UK is looking to do a massive C&P of EU law into UK law.
